KARACHI:Secretary Human Rights Sindh Jawed Sibghatullah Mahar has said that a comprehensive Human Rights policy was in the process to expand the objectives and mission of the Human Rights department.
He said this while talking to a delegation led by Ms. Tooba, Coordinator, Haqooq e Pakistan, a project of European Union, according to a communique.
Secretary Jawed Sibghatullah Mahar said that the objectives and mission of the department were needed to be further expanded.
He said that a comprehensive human rights policy was in the process of formulation.
The Secretary said that it was important to improve the skills of the officers and employees working in the department for which an effective training programme would also be formulated.
He said that the main objective of the human rights department was to protect the rights of the people belonging to the marginalized class of all religions, sects and communities throughout the province.
