ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan earned victories in the matches of the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Blind Cricket Twenty20 Super League being played at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Cricket Stadium, Abbottabad on Saturday.
In the first match, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Punjab by seven wickets. In the morning KP won the toss and asked Punjab to bat first. Punjab posted a spirited total of 210 runs on the board for the loss of three wickets in allotted 20 overs. Mati Ullah was the highest scorer with 98 runs while Kamran Akhter made 64 runs for Punjab.
The target of 211 runs was not proved tough for the healthy batting lineup of KPK and they achieved the target easily in 19.2 over for the loss of three wickets. Sana Ullah was the top scorer for KPK who scored unbeaten 55* runs while Anees Javed played a brisk inning of unbeaten 46* runs. Yasir Malik took one wicket. Anees Javed was declared Man of the Match.
Balochistan defeated Sindh by 33 runs in the second match. Balochistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Balochistan’s batsmen played superbly well and set the total of 192 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Mohsin Khan scored 37 runs while Badar and Faisal made 38 and 38 runs, respectively. Akram grabbed two wickets while Ayyaz and Israr took one wicket each.
In reply, Sindh bowled out on 159 runs in 18.1 overs. Muhammad Akram was the top scorer with 84 runs. Mohsin Khan was the pick amongst the bowlers; he fetched three wickets while Babar Ali took two wickets. Mohsin Khan was declared Man of the Match.
