Training workshop held at UAF

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) on Wednesday organized a two-day orientation/training workshop of teaching assistants.

The inaugural session was presided over by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan.

He said that teaching assistants who were PhD scholars were the future leaders. He said that system

of teaching assistance was to improve the quality of learning among PhD scholars. He said that teaching assistance was a huge responsibility to polish their teaching and communication skills.

The university administration was ensuring to provide maximum facilities to teaching assistants and

PhD scholars, he added.

Dr. Babar Shahbaz Director Academics and Teaching Resource Centre, said that teaching assistance

for one semester was mandatory for all PhD students. Teaching Assistants (TAs) should take their

responsibility in assisting the senior teachers. The TAs have to prepare teaching material under the

guidance of faculty members.

Forty Teaching Assistants attended the training workshop with observing proper SOPs for COVID-19.

Dr. Amanullah Malik from Institute of Horticulture Sciences; Dr. Nisar Ahmed Director Quality Enhancement Cell, and Dr Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Associate Professor also interacted with the participants.
