RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi district police have busted a dacoit gang and arrested its three members besides arresting two thieves and recovered three 30 bore pistols, two mobile phones and other items from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, Airport Police team under the supervision of SHO conducted a raid and rounded up three namely Umar, Sajid and Hassan, three members of a dacoit gang.
Police also recovered three 30 bore pistols, ammunition and other items from their possession.
The arrested dacoit gang members have been sent to jail for identification parade.
City police arrested two thieves namely Naeem Ali and Ubaid Khan and recovered two stolen mobile phones from their possession.
Meanwhile, Civil Line Police team recovered a 30 bore pistol, ammunition and 24 bottles liquor from the possession of an accused namely Iqbal Masih.
SSP Operations Rawalpindi appreciated police performance and directed to continue operations to net the lawbreakers.
