SIALKOT: The University of Sialkot (USKT) and IMSciences University Peshawar inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) vowing to pursue a collaborative course for a better national future. The MoU will strengthen cross-institutional ties through joint research, mutual efforts towards scientific advancements, and cooperative action for technological upheaval. Joint Director IMSciences University Prof Dr Usman Ghani visited Sialkot to meet USKT top tier including Chairman, Board of Directors, USKT Faisal Manzoor and Executive Director, USKT Muhammad Rehan Younas. Both parties affirmed to join their energies to serve the nation together. Faisal Manzoor stated the partnership wouldn’t only benefit both institutes academically but also help impart a regional impact on Peshawar and Sialkot. It will establish an inter-provincial connection leading to cultural exchange and national harmony, he added. Muhammad Rehan Younas said that USKT had a vision for a brighter future which called for mutual strive, adding “we always took a road of collaboration as it inculcates a conducive mind-set that our nation requires”. He further urged the industry to join in with academia to shape up an intellectually strong and financially independent ecosystem. The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by Vice-Chancellor USKT Prof. Dr Saeedul Hasan Chishti, Registrar USKT Muhammad Yaqoob, Director ORIC Dr. Javed Anjum Sheikh, and Director CICS Rehmat Ullah.
