KASUR:A young man died of electrocution in a nearby village here on Monday.
According to police, the incident took place at Talwandi village where 11000 kv electric wire snapped and fell upon Muhammad Yasin (34). He died on the spot.
The victim was the father of six children.
The relatives of victim and people of the area blocked Kasur-Depalpur road and protested against the Wapda authorities. Meanwhile, armed motorcyclists snatched Rs 2.8 million from the manager of a patrol pump in nearby locality Mustafa Abad at gun point. Petrol Pump manager Zahid was heading towards a bank branch to deposit money when outlaws intercepted his vehicle and deprived him
of cash.
Mustafa Abad police have registered a case and started investigation.
