Quetta:Deputy Commissioner Kohlu Aqeel Karim Baloch on Wednesday said that the salaries of more than two dozen teachers were deducted after founding them absent from their duties in the area.
He said that the notices were also issued for neglecting their duties to absent teachers across the district, especially in Kahan Tehsil.
The DC said that in the light of the decision made in the meeting of the District Education Group, the salaries of the absent teaching and non-teaching staff from the government educational institutions have been deducted and the employees have also been asked to answer.
He said that in case of not giving a satisfactory answer, other departmental action would be taken against the absentee employees including dismissal from the job.
The functioning of all the educational institutions across the district is the first priority so that all the inactive schools are activated and the education system is continued, he said.
He said that on the other hand, departmental actions have also b
een intensified against the absent teaching staff.
