DG KHAN:In an extensive crackdown operation spanning from September 6-27, local law enforcement agencies in the Dera Ghazi Khan division have successfully seized 159 vehicles engaged in the smuggling of petrol.
According to official sources, during this concerted effort, authorities have filed a total of 80 cases against the smugglers, leading to the apprehension of 114 individuals involved in the grave criminal activity, which poses a significant threat to the nation’s economy.
The law enforcement teams managed to confiscate a staggering 725,510 liters of smuggled petrol, promptly turning it over to the Customs department for further action. This operation stands as a resolute effort to curb the damaging impact of petrol smuggling on the country’s economy.
