TANK:The Tank police on Saturday claimed to have seized 2000 liters of non custom paid (NCP) Diesel during ongoing crackdown against hoarding and smuggling.
According to police spokesman, the crackdown against hoarding and smuggling was underway across the district following the clear directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Iftekhar Alis Shah.
During the crackdown, a police team led by SDPO Rural Chan Shah and Gul-e-Imam Police station SHO Rehmat Khan stopped a Datson bearing number (C-6725) for checking. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Khalil Akbar, a resident of Dara Pezu.
During the checking, the police recovered 2000 liters of NCP Diesel from the said vehicle which was illegally transported to Amakhel area from Pezu. The estimated worth of the recovered diesel is around Rs 650,000 which was later handed over to custom authorities for further legal action.
