Bahawalpur: Al-Baghdad Football Club has defeated Hashmi Garden Club, securing 1-0 victory in Under-15 Friendly Football Match played here.



An Under-15 friendly football match was played between Al-Baghdad Football Club, Bahawalpur, and Hashmi Garden Football Club, with Al-Baghdad Football Academy securing a 1-0 victory after an impressive performance.



From the opening whistle, both teams displayed attacking and well-organized football match. The young players demonstrated excellent skills, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the match, earning appreciation from the spectators.



The only and decisive goal of the match was scored by right winger Muhammad Usman of Al-Baghdad Football Club, sealing the team’s victory. At the conclusion of the match, Rai Azhar Hussain, President of Al-Baghdad Football Club Bahawalpur, along with coaches Chaudhry Sajjad and Muhammad Mohsin, congratulated the players of both teams on their commendable performances.



Man killed and three injured in truck-rickshaw collision


Muzaffargarh: A man was killed and three others injured after a truck collided with a goods-carrying rickshaw on a road near Nala San area on Thursday, the Rescue 1122 sources said.



The accident occurred near Nala San on the Muzaffargarh-Dera Ghazi Khan Road, where the emergency responders dispatched two ambulances and a fire vehicle to the scene.



According to Rescue 1122, a broken-down truck was parked in the middle of the road while the goods-carrying rickshaw was travelling on the wrong side. A passing truck then crashed into the rickshaw after its driver reportedly fell asleep , triggering the collision.



They said the Rescue 1122 workers provided first aid to the injured and transferred them to Indus Hospital in Muzaffargarh .



The body identified as Ibrahim 40 year, a resident of Loralai in Balochistan province. The body was taken to the Rural Health Centre, Basira for legal formalities.



The three injured were identified as Moeen, 18, Zubair, 35, and Mohammad Jahangir, 25. They sustained injuries of varying severity, the sources added.



Safety container installed at Indus River picnic point to enhance tourist protection in DI Khan


Dera ismail khan: Rescue 1122 Dera Ismail Khan has installed a safety container at the Indus River picnic point to strengthen public safety measures and improve emergency response during the ongoing monsoon season.



According to Rescue 1122, the initiative was undertaken on the directives of District Emergency Officer Muhammad, Arif Khan to safeguard the lives of visitors and ensure safer recreational activities along the river.



The safety container has been established to raise public awareness about water safety, help to prevent drowning incidents and facilitate a swift response in case of emergencies.



Rescue 1122 spokesperson said its personnel, in coordination with the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), would remain deployed at the site to educate visitors about safety precautions, discourage risky activities and provide immediate emergency assistance whenever required.



The department urged citizens to strictly observe safety guidelines while visiting rivers and other water bodies, follow the instructions of Rescue 1122 and local administration personnel, and immediately report any emergency by calling the Rescue 1122 emergency helpline.



AJK Supreme Court delegation visits Supreme Court of Pakistan


Mirpur (ajk): A delegation of officers of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) undertook a two-day visit to the Supreme Court of Pakistan as part of Chief Justice of AJK Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan’s vision to enhance institutional capacity and strengthen professional cooperation between judicial institutions.



“During the visit, the delegation met Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of institutional collaboration, professional development, and the exchange of best practices”, reported by reporter correspondent on Thursday.



“He highlighted that effective judicial administration and the timely delivery of justice to the public require close coordination and continuous cooperation among judicial institutions”, according to the correspondent.



The delegation received a detailed briefing on the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s ongoing reform agenda, which focuses on establishing a citizen-centric, technology-driven, transparent, and efficient justice system.



The delegation was apprised of key initiatives, including e-filing, video-link hearings, digital case management, the National Judicial Analytics Dashboard, the Public Facilitation Centre, and other modern technological reforms aimed at improving judicial services.



As part of the visit, the delegation also reviewed administrative and judicial operations at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and toured the Public Facilitation Centre, the Supreme Court Museum, and the Information Technology Directorate.



The AJK Supreme Court delegation appreciated the reform measures and technological advancements introduced by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and expressed its commitment to enhancing institutional cooperation in areas such as digital issuance of court records, case management, and other administrative functions.



The visit also highlighted Chief Justice of AJK Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan’s vision of aligning the judiciary with modern requirements to ensure accessible, efficient, and timely justice for the public.



Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation, professional capacity-building, and the exchange of best practices, agreeing to further strengthen collaboration in promoting a people-friendly and effective justice system.



Three-member robbery gang busted


Muzaffargarh: Police arrested a three-member gang allegedly involved in robbery incidents, along with suspects involved in multiple cattle theft cases, and recovered stolen property during a crackdown against criminal elements, officials said on Wednesday.



Addressing a press conference, SHO Pir Jagi Sharif Hassan Sultan Sial, accompanied by ASI Muhammad Jameel and Security In-charge Umar Hafeez, said the police apprehended the gang led by Amir Farooq alias ‘Farooqi Jhoorar’, which was allegedly involved in several robbery incidents in the area. He said the police also arrested suspects involved in a number of cattle theft cases during the operation.



The SHO said the police recovered one stolen motorcycle, three pistols and cash from the possession of the accused.



Hassan Sultan Sial reaffirmed that indiscriminate action against criminal elements would continue and that the police remained committed to ensuring the protection of the lives and property of citizens.



Applications invited for Agricultural Graduates Internship Programme


Faisalabad: The Agriculture Department Punjab has invited applications from young agricultural graduates under the Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Agricultural Graduates Internship Programme.



A spokesman for Agriculture (Extension) Department said here on Thursday that young agricultural graduates having a maximum age of 27 years (as on the closing date for submission of applications) and possessing a B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degrees are eligible to apply.



He said that 1,500 young agricultural graduates will be recruited under this program. Each selected internee will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.70,000.



He said that the interested agricultural graduates may download the application forms from the Punjab Agriculture Department’s website at www.agripunjab.gov.pk or obtain the same from the office of Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) or Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension).



He said that the terms and conditions, along with other relevant details, are provided in the application forms. The applicants are required to complete their application form and submit it to the office of the concerned Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) by July 30, 2026.



The internees who have already benefited from this internship program during previous years are not eligible to apply, he added.
