Peshawar: The district administration in Mansehra has temporarily banned tourists from traveling to Lake Saif-ul-Malook in Naran due to safety concerns.

According to the police on Tuesday, the decision was made on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner of Mansehra and the Lake Road has been closed to all types of traffic.

Authorities said the restriction has been imposed because of heavy rainfall and the risk of landslides. The road will be reopened for tourists once weather conditions improve and it is declared safe for travel.

Gujrat: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Health Authority (DHA),Dr.Syed Atta-ul-Munim conducted surprise visits to healthcare facilities across the district to review service delivery and assess the quality of patient care, here on Tuesday.

According to health department officials, Deputy District Health Officer,Dr.Muhammad Usman Naeem accompanied the CEO during the inspections.

At Tehsil Headquarters, Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider Hospital in Kunjah,Dr.Atta-ul-Munim inspected various departments, interacted with patients in the outpatient department (OPD) and sought feedback on the medical services being provided.

He directed hospital staff to address patients’ complaints without delay and reviewed the treatment of admitted patients.

He also expressed satisfaction over the availability of medicines at the facility. The CEO later visited Urban Kunjah to inspect the door-to-door registration campaign under the Community Health Inspectors Program.

During his visit to the Rural Health Center in Shadiwal,he reviewed vaccination and community registration activities and ordered disciplinary action against an absent Union Council Supervisor.

Dr.Atta-ul-Munim said negligence in official duties would not be tolerated, adding that all available resources would be utilized to further improve healthcare services across the district.

Sargodha: District Police Officer Sargodha Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem on Tuesday visited Cantt Police Station and Police Khidmat Markaz and inspected administrative operations and the quality of public service delivery in the district.

During his visit to the Cantt Police Station, the DPO reviewed various sections including the building structure, front desk, lockup, and the Moharrar office to ensure compliance with official protocols, a police spokesperson said. The DPO issued specific directives to the station staff to improve cleanliness standards and maintain an environment conducive for citizens seeking assistance.

Later, district police officer Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem visited the Sargodha Khidmat Markaz, where he interacted with visiting citizens to obtain direct feedback regarding the facilities and the efficiency of staff, the spokesperson added. Speaking on the occasion, DPO Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem emphasized that every law-abiding citizen deserves respect at police stations, adding that the department was committed to transforming police stations into centers of public service.

He further directed the officials to take all necessary measures for improving public service delivery and to intensify legal action against criminal elements to ensure peace in the district.

Abbottabad: Following the directives of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Tourism Malik Adil Iqbal, the Tourism Police have been placed on high alert across tourist destinations in Hazara and Malakand divisions to ensure the safety of visitors during the ongoing monsoon rains and flash flooding.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Tourism Malik Adil Iqbal in a press statement, said the government was committed to providing tourists with a safe and well-facilitated environment. He said Tourism Police were actively providing guidance, assistance and emergency response services at major tourist destinations to help visitors during the prevailing weather conditions.

He said the protection of tourists’ lives and property is the government’s top priority and directed all relevant departments to adopt precautionary measures for avoiding any emergency situation.

The Special Assistant also urged tourists to strictly follow safety advisories and avoid visiting rivers, streams, flood-prone areas and locations vulnerable to landslides until weather conditions improve.

Rawalpindi: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has decided to tighten measures across all districts to expedite the registration of new businesses and ensure the effective implementation of the E-Invoice Monitoring System (E-IMS).

The decision was taken during a video-link meeting chaired by PRA Chairman Azam Iqbal Sapra, which was attended by commissioners and relevant officials from all districts.

The meeting reviewed progress on the registration of new businesses, implementation of the E-Invoice Monitoring System, and measures to improve tax collection. The PRA chairman directed the authorities to ensure the timely registration of new businesses and effectively implement the E-IMS to make the tax system more transparent.

Azam Iqbal Sapra said the Punjab Revenue Authority would continue indiscriminate action against fake invoicing and tax evasion, adding that strict legal action would be taken against those violating the law.

He also instructed the relevant officials to strengthen field monitoring to enhance revenue collection and ensure comprehensive documentation of business activities.

Peshawar: A government middle school in Bajaur district was destroyed in an explosive attack during the small hours on Tuesday, local authorities informed.

Officials said unidentified saboteurs used explosive materials to demolish the Government Middle School Loi Kharki. Security and relevant authorities reached the site shortly after the incident.

An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible. No casualties have been reported so far.

Authorities have cordoned off the area and said further investigation is underway.
