Sargodha: Sargodha police on Monday finalized security arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala during a meeting chaired by District Police Officer Sargodha Touqeer Muhammad Naeem.
The meeting was attended by all senior officers and officials from the police department across the district.
Participants reviewed the routes of Chehlum processions, security deployment, traffic management, sanitation arrangements, emergency medical services and other administrative measures aimed at ensuring the peaceful observance of the occasion.
Officials of the concerned departments were directed to complete all necessary arrangements well before the Chehlum to be held on 4th August 2026.
The DPO was informed that 1500 policemen would be deployed for the security duties on the occasion.
Touqeer Muhammad Naeem said providing maximum facilities to mourners and maintaining law and order during the Chehlum are police’s top priorities. He said foolproof security, effective traffic management, cleanliness and uninterrupted emergency healthcare services would be ensured throughout the observances.
He also directed all relevant departments to maintain close coordination and perform their responsibilities efficiently to ensure that the Chehlum processions and gatherings are held in a peaceful, safe and orderly manner.
