Quetta: Funeral prayers of District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar was offered, who was martyred in a terrorist firing incident in Mastung, after which he was laid to rest on Thursday.

According to Staff Officer of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Syed Amin, the funeral prayers and burial were attended by a large number of provincial ministers, advisors, members of the provincial assembly, senior civil and military officials, personalities from the judiciary, lawyers, and dignitaries of the area.

On this occasion, tributes were paid to the services of Shaheed District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar for the country and the rule of law, while prayers were offered for his elevation and patience for his family.

Syed Amin said that special and strict security arrangements were made for the funeral prayers and burial.

He said that the Balochistan government has reiterated its resolve that terrorists and their facilitators who target the guardians of the law would not be able to escape their fate, and the operations of state institutions would continue with full force to establish law and order in the province and completely eradicate terrorism.

Quetta: The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) Quetta, has forecast hot conditions across most districts of Balochistan with scattered heavy rainfall in northern and central regions.

According to the RMC, mainly hot weather will dominate the province, with very hot conditions expected in Nokkundi, Kech, Washuk, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Awaran, Noshki, Sibi, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Usta Muhammad and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy skies accompanied by rain, wind, and thunderstorms including scattered heavy falls are likely in Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhail, Killa Saifullah, Harnai, Ziarat, Duki, Loralai, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Kachi, Khuzdar, Surab, Awaran, Kalat, Mastung, Quetta, Pishin and adjoining districts.

The forecast also cautions that strong gusty winds are expected in most parts of the province during afternoon and evening hours, which may affect local communities and infrastructure.

Temperature readings show Sibi recorded the maximum at 45.0°C, while Gwadar registered the minimum at 32.0°C.

Authorities have urged residents to remain alert during heavy rainfall and strong winds, particularly in vulnerable districts, and to follow safety advisories issued by local administration.

Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has lauded the successful intelligence-based operation in Khad Kocha, Mastung, declaring it a significant achievement in the ongoing war against terrorism.

Sarfraz Bugti said that security forces, acting on precise intelligence, neutralized six terrorists linked to Fitna-e-Hindustan and arrested several others, including facilitators and male and female suicide bombers.

He emphasized that the recovery of large caches of weapons and explosives and the destruction of multiple hideouts highlighted the professional skill and effective intelligence capabilities of the forces.

The Chief Minister affirmed that no safe haven would remain for terrorists in Balochistan, and that operations would continue until every terrorist network to be uprooted. He stressed that those challenging the writ of the state would face indiscriminate and decisive action.

Sarfraz Bugti noted that following recent terrorist incidents, search and clearance operations have been intensified in Mastung and surrounding areas to ensure no terrorist escapes. He paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the security forces, declaring that the entire nation stood united with its courageous soldiers.

Reiterating his government’s commitment, Bugti said that the Balochistan government, in full coordination with the federal government and all security institutions, would persist in its struggle until the eradication of terrorism and establishing lasting peace in the province.

Quetta: Governor, Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Thursday said that sustainable development could be maintained only when government institutions and the public work together, considering it a civic responsibility to secure environment.

He said this while talking to a delegation led by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Muslehuddin Mengal. The Governor said that Quetta was not just the provincial capital but also the face of the entire province.

It is blessed with a rich history, unique urbanism and sole natural beauty, urging all the relevant provincial ministers to focus on the development, beauty and restoration of its historical heritage.

He said that it was encouraging that several notable development projects had been launched during the current government, however, they need to make more collaborative efforts to provide quality education, clean water and basic public health facilities to the residents.

Jaffar Khan Mandukhel said that integrated planning, transparency, accountability and effective implementation of development projects could play a lasting role in the prosperity of the city.

Quetta: Loralai Police organized a solemn seminar at Allah Nawaz Shaheed Police Lines to pay tribute to the martyrs of Ziarat Mangi Dam, including Jahandad Shabozai, Havaldar Saifullah Shaheed, and other police martyrs of Loralai.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Loralai Captain (R) Muhammad Haseeb Shuja and SSP Loralai Dr. Fahad Ahmed as chief guests. Zonal Commander BC Loralai Zone Jehangir Shah, district administration officials, police officers and personnel, families of martyrs, tribal elders, religious scholars, and citizens from various walks of life also participated.

Speakers paid glowing tributes to the martyrs, declaring their sacrifices for the security of the nation and protection of the people as a source of pride for the entire country. They emphasized that the martyrs’ selfless devotion will always be remembered and that the nation will never forget their contributions.

They assured the families of martyrs that they are not alone, as the entire nation and Loralai Police stand with them. The speakers reiterated that defending the homeland is a collective duty, and martyrdom in fulfilling this duty is the highest honor.

The seminar concluded with special prayers for the martyrs, followed by the distribution of food among participants. Attendees reaffirmed their commitment to continue the mission of the martyrs and to make their sacrifices a guiding light for the establishment of peace and stability.

Quetta: Balochistan Governor, Jafar Khan Mandokhel along with provincial ministers including Ziaullah Longov and Ali Madad Jatak on Thursday expressed grief over the martyrdom of Session Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his gunman in the firing incident on the National Highway in Mastung.

Judicial Magistrate Tariq Lashari and another person were also seriously injured in the terrorist attack.

The Governor has directed all law enforcement agencies to take immediate and strict action against the terrorists involved and ensure their early arrest and legal action.

He also instructed the concerned authorities to provide best medical facilities to the injured. Governor Mandokhel prayed for the eternal peace of the martyred souls and early recovery of the injured.

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Secession Judge Abdul Hakeem and his gunman and expressed grief on their martyrdom.

He said that the government shared the pain of the families of the martyrs in this hour, adding, terrorist elements would not be spared under any circumstances and strict action against anti-peace elements would be taken.

The Home Minister said that the state was taking full action against those who disrupt peace and order saying that protection of life and property of the people was the top priority of the government.

Pakistan Peoples Party central leader and provincial minister Haji Ali Madad Jatak also expressed deep grief and strong condemnation over the martyrdom of Sessions Judge, Abdul Hakeem Kakar, and his gunman in the cowardly attack by terrorists in Mastung district.

He said that terrorists were shedding the blood of innocent citizens to fulfill their nefarious intentions, but such cowardly acts could never dampen the morale of the nation.

He said that Sessions Judge, Abdul Hakeem Kakar, was a dutiful, honest and law-abiding judge, while his bodyguard also sacrificed his life while discharging his duty. Their sacrifices would always be remembered.

Jatak said that every conspiracy to harm peace and stability in Balochistan would be foiled, and these cowardly attacks by the insidious enemy could not shake the resolve and morale of the people of Balochistan.

He said that the entire nation was united against terrorism and the elements hostile to peace would not be allowed to succeed in their nefarious objectives under any circumstances.
