Gwadar Port completes its second commercial bunkering operation


Quetta: Gwadar Port has successfully completed its second commercial bunkering operation, marking another important milestone towards Pakistan’s blue economy and making Gwadar a regional maritime hub.



According to Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), during this bunkering operation, approximately 1,150 metric tons of Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (LSFO) was successfully delivered to LNG Carrier M.V. EXCELERATE SHENANDOAH (IMO No. 9321768) at Gwadar Port.



The day-long bunkering operation was completed in accordance with international safety, environmental and operational standards. The bunkering barge M.T. MARINE ISTA arrived in Gwadar from Karachi and delivered marine fuel to the ship. This bunkering operation was completed in cooperation with Gwadar Port Authority, Pakistan Customs and other relevant agencies, where full implementation of all legal, regulatory, safety and environmental requirements was ensured.



Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that the successful completion of the second commercial bunkering operation at Gwadar Port is a clear proof that Gwadar is rapidly emerging as an important hub for international maritime trade and maritime services.



He said that under the government’s policies, vigorous steps are being taken to provide modern facilities at Gwadar Port, promote investment and provide quality services to global shipping companies.



He said that the development of Gwadar Port is of utmost importance not only for Balochistan but also for the economy of Pakistan.



Chairman Gwadar Port Noorul Haq Baloch said that the successful completion of the second commercial bunkering operation is a practical manifestation of Gwadar Port’s increasing capacity, operational efficiency and growing confidence of global shipping companies.



He said that Gwadar Port is now capable of providing reliable marine fuel services and the continuous increase in bunkering activities would lead to the arrival of more international ships, new investments, business opportunities and employment in the future.



Chairman Noorul Haq Baloch further said that steps are being taken rapidly with the cooperation of all relevant institutions to make Gwadar Port a competitive Regional Bunkering and Maritime Logistics Hub, while providing world-class facilities at the port is among the top priorities of the government.



Practical measures being taken to improve law and order situation in Balochistan: Zahoor Buledi


Quetta: Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development (PandD) Mir Zahoor Ahmad Buledi on Wednesday said that practical measures were being taken to improve the law and order situation across the province including Quetta, the confusion of A and B areas in Balochistan has been eliminated.



He said that the terrorism network would be broken in Balochistan, the rooms in the city under the Quetta Safe City Project have been damaged in strikes, all national highways of Balochistan to be made safe for interest of public.



He expressed these views while addressing a press conference along with provincial ministers Mir Ziaullah Langove, Mir Shoaib Noshirwani and Sports Adviser Mina Majeed here.



Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmad Buledi said that a meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti as 26 agenda items were discussed in the cabinet meeting.



Mir Zahoor Ahmad Buledi said that prayers were also offered for the martyrs of the terrorist incidents in Balochistan and the provincial cabinet paid tribute to the martyrs.



He said that scholarships were approved through the Workers Welfare Board while the provincial cabinet has given the status of a university to the reconstructed college.



The Minister mentioned that the provincial cabinet has announced a planning manual, the federal government would bear Rs 15 billion for the Harnai Sibi Road while the rest to be borne by the provincial government.



He said that the Balochistan Cadet College Board has been reshuffled, there are 11 cadet colleges in Balochistan adding that the provincial cabinet has made a child protection rule and approved the creation of a new tehsil in Balochistan which would be helped for maintaining peace in the area.



On this occasion, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove said that there was no demand for the restoration of levies with the relatives of the martyrs of Ziarat adding that Dr. Malik Baloch has not expressed to become the Chief Minister.



Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said that there is a need to understand the situation and events in Balochistan, extraordinary measures would have to be taken to normalize the situation in Balochistan.



Noor Muhammad Dummar assures public to address their legal issues


Quetta: Balochistan Minister for Commodity Management Department and Chairman Balochistan Food Authority Haji Noor Muhammad Dummar met with public delegations and vendors coming from remote areas of the constituency in his office and listened to their problems and difficulties in detail.



On this occasion, Provincial Minister Haji Noor Muhammad Dummar took serious notice of the public problems and issued instructions to the relevant authorities to take necessary steps and actions for the immediate resolution of the problems of some vendors, while assuring that other problems would also be resolved on a priority basis.



He said that he is the representative of the people of his constituency and considers serving the people as his first responsibility, every effort would be made to resolve the problems of the people belonging to remote areas of the constituency and no citizen would be disappointed in resolving a legitimate problem.



Haji Noor Muhammad Dummar said that it is his responsibility to listen to the problems of the people and take practical steps to resolve them.



He said that he would continue to use all his abilities to resolve all kinds of problems of the people of his constituency and for the development and prosperity of the area.



Funeral prayers of martyred DSP Mureed Bugti offered


Quetta: The funeral prayers of martyred DSP Mureed Bugti were offered with full state honours at Eidgah Barkhan on Wednesday.



The funeral prayers were attended by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Koh-e-Sulaiman Range Ayaz Ahmed Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Barkhan Saeed-ur-Rehman Kakar, Wing Commandant FC Barkhan Colonel Younis Khan, SP Barkhan Abdul Haq, police and FC officers, officials, tribal elders, local dignitaries and a large number of citizens.



The atmosphere was very mournful on this occasion and the participants paid great tribute to the courage, bravery and professional services of martyred DSP Mureed Bugti.



The body of the martyr was wrapped in the national flag while a police contingent saluted and sent the martyr off with full state honours.



After the funeral prayers, senior police officers expressed their condolences and sympathy to the martyr’s family and prayed for their patience.



On this occasion, the speakers said that martyred DSP Mureed Bugti set a great example of bravery, duty and sacrifice by sacrificing his life while performing his duties, whose services and sacrifice would always be remembered with appreciation by the police force and the nation.



Effective measures being implemented to promote investment, expand business activities in Balochistan: Kakar


Quetta: Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, Bilal Khan Kakar on Wednesday said that under the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the government’s investor-friendly policies, effective measures are being implemented to promote investment and expand business activities across the province.



Speaking to a delegation of local business leaders at his office, he stated that the current provincial government is committed to making Balochistan an attractive, secure, and investment-friendly destination.



He noted that the government’s pro-investment policies have strengthened the confidence of both local and foreign investors, creating new opportunities for investment across various sectors.



Bilal Khan Kakar said that the Balochistan Board of Investment is actively fulfilling its mandate by providing investors with one-window facilitation, professional guidance, and every possible support to ensure a transparent, efficient, and business-friendly environment.



He further stated that promoting investment would not only strengthen the provincial economy but also generate new employment opportunities, enabling Balochistan to make further progress toward sustainable economic growth and prosperity.



CM Bugti chairs cabinet meeting related to public welfare, improvement of law and order


Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the provincial cabinet at the Chief Minister Secretariat in which several important decisions related to public welfare, law and order, education, local government system, development projects and administrative matters were approved.



At the beginning of the meeting, prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the officers and personnel of the security forces and civilian martyrs who were martyred in various incidents, forgiveness and patience for their families.



The provincial cabinet approved Phase three of the Chief Minister Scholarship Program to provide quality educational opportunities to the children of the working class, under which 300 children of registered workers of Balochistan would be admitted to a standard boarding school in Islamabad so that they could get high-quality education and better future opportunities.



Local Government to make the institutions more functional, the cabinet approved the granting of municipal committee status to Union Council Mesizai and Union Council Mayzai, while establishing a new municipal committee in Gulistan, to make the law and order system more strong and effective, the provincial cabinet approved declaring the entire province as a regular police area after the merger of the Levies Force with the police.



The cabinet also approved the appointment of SP Nabil Ahmed as the Chief Operating Officer of the Balochistan Safe City Authority, while the formation of a parole board was also approved as per the recommendations of the Home Department.



The cabinet also approved the establishment of a new police station at Marble City in Hub District so that the protection of industrial and commercial activities and the law enforcement system could be made more effective.



The meeting also approved the Balochistan Planning Manual for better planning and effective implementation of development projects in the province.



Similarly, to further strengthen the system of rights and protection of children, the Balochistan Child Protection Rules 2026 were also approved, which was described as a major breakthrough in this sector.



The provincial cabinet also approved the Balochistan Cadet Colleges Amendment Act 2026, while in the light of the recommendations of the Prosecution Department, an extension of the contract tenure of the Prosecutor General for another two years was approved.



The Balochistan Hybrid Weight Procurement Policy 2026 was approved to promote transparency, competition and effective financial management in the government procurement system, while the Service Level Agreement for the Quetta Safe City Project was also approved to ensure timely and effective implementation of the project.



In the development sector, the cabinet approved the financing proposal for the Harnai-Sibi Road, while the Service Rules 2024 for Grades 1 to 21 of the Gwadar Development Authority were also approved, while on the recommendations of the Revenue Department, a new tehsil and subdivision in Naseerabad district was also approved.



Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the decisions of the provincial cabinet are aimed at providing better facilities to the people, promoting good governance, further improving law and order situation, accelerating the development process and strengthening an effective administrative structure in the province.



He said that the government is pursuing the agenda of public welfare with all seriousness and timely and effective implementation of all cabinet decisions would be ensured.
