Faisalabad: The police have issued a comprehensive security plan for the upcoming district and tehsil bar elections by deploying more than 2,400 officers and personnel to ensure tight security and peaceful polling across the district on Saturday (January 10, 2026).
Police spokesman said here on Friday that acting on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, the police finalized elaborate arrangements for the bar elections to be held at District Katchery Faisalabad, Tehsil Katchery Samundri, Tandlianwala and Judicial Complex Jaranwala.
He said that more than 2,400 police officers and Jawans would remain on duty throughout the polling process to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident.
He said that foolproof security measures have been put in place at all venues particularly at District Katchery where the boundary wall, walkthrough gates and other security equipment have been made fully operational.
Strict checking would also be carried out and no individual would be allowed to enter the court premises without proper screening, he added.
He said that the police would work in close coordination with the district administration to ensure a peaceful environment during bar elections.
A complete ban has also been clamped on hooliganism, aerial firing and any form of illegal activity with clear instructions to deal strictly with the law violators, he added.
He said that peace and order during bar elections is top priority of the police. Concerned SPs have been directed to personally oversee and ensure implementation of foolproof security arrangements at their respective locations, he added.
