RAWALPINDI: Police have recovered a one-day-old newborn girl who was abducted from Holy Family Hospital (HFH) in the jurisdiction of New Town police station here on Sunday.
The baby was rescued within a few hours while both the kidnappers including the woman were arrested during operation.
Earlier, City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani has taken notice and ordered immediate arrest of the accused and the recovery of the girl.
The teams headed by SDPO New Town were formed to arrest the accused.
The suspects were traced and arrested in a few hours through human intelligence sources. The newborn baby girl was handed over to the family in the hospital by the New Town Police.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani appreciated SP Rawal, DSP New Town, SHO New Town and the team and said that the accused would be investigated and booked with solid evidence. He made it clear that it was the prime duty of the police to protect the lives and properties of the people.
