LAHORE: The Punjab Food department has taken action against illegal transportation of wheat at check posts in Mianwali. According to official sources, an attempt to transport wheat without permit from Bilian check post was foiled.
A case had been registered against the driver of car number RPT 1366. An attempt to transport more than permitted flour was also foiled from Check posts Daud Khel and Dara Tang. A vehicle number C 2567 and TKR 915 were also stopped. Cases would be registered against the drivers for using fake e permits, the sources said. The sources said that it was mandatory to obtain e permit for interprovincial transportation of wheat and flour.
