Action taken against rickshaws and encroachments for smooth traffic


Quetta: On Special directive of Chief Minister of Balochistan and the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Quetta City Amir Hamza, along with the traffic police took action against rickshaws and encroachments that were disrupting the traffic flow in different areas of the city, including Zarghoon Road Quetta on Wednesday.



During the action, all rickshaws parked illegally on the service road of Zarghoon Road and in front of various hospitals were immediately removed.



On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Amir Hamza directed rickshaw drivers to avoid parking rickshaws on roads and service roads so that the traffic flow is not affected and citizens would not face difficulties in transportation.



He said that improving the traffic system in the city and providing uninterrupted transportation facilities to the public are among the top priorities of the district administration.



He said that patients and their families also face difficulties due to the disorderly parking of rickshaws and other vehicles in front of hospitals, effective steps are being taken to remedy this.



The Assistant Commissioner directed the traffic police and relevant authorities to continue taking action against encroachments and illegal parking to maintain traffic flow on important highways, service roads and around hospitals.
