D.I.KHAN:Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dera Ismail Khan Iqbal Khan Wazir on Wednesday visited ‘Zamung Kor’ centre here in Sanghar area on Chashma Road and checked the facilities being provided to the orphans and street children.
During his visit, the ADC also met with the children and said these children were an important part of the society.
He said each member of the society should come forward along with the district administration to help those children.
He also checked the educational activities at the centre, besides other facilities being provided to the children, including residence and food.
The ‘Zamung Kor’ project was recently opened in Dera Ismail Khan, where initially 100 children were registered. The center was equipped with all necessary facilities to provide a home-like environment to street and needy children.
Orphans, street children, homeless children, and children of disabled persons were admitted to this facility.
Besides, the centre would also house those children who were drug addicts for their rehabilitation.
