Aesthetic health service to be legalized: MPA Rehana Ismail

PESHAWAR:Chairperson Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Standing Committee on Health MPA Rehana Ismail here on Monday said that steps were underway to legalize all the aesthetic health centers in the province to prevent diseases that were frequently caused due to illegal and substandard healthcare units.

Presiding over a meeting in the conference hall of the provincial assembly, she said responsibilities had been assigned to KP Law and KP Industries departments to brief the legislators on consumer products.

She thanked MPA Shagufta Malik for raising her voice on the floor of the house and stressed regular monitoring of all the aesthetic centers including beauty centers, parlors and hair transplant centers by the KP Health Department.

Rehana directed Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and Deputy Commissioner Peshawar for organizing inspections of these centers through the members of Standing Committee.

The meeting besides was attended by MPA Somi Falak Naz, MPA Sumaira Shams, Special, Additional Secretaries KP Health, Additional Secretary and Director General KP Industries, CEO Healthcare Commission and other concerned officers.
