Peshawar:Deputy Commissioner Karak, Shakeel Ahmad Jan on Wednesday said elaborate arrangements had been made to celebrate Independence Day with national enthusiasm.
As part of events on the auspicious occasion, the DC said a flag-hoisting and other cultural functions would be organized in the district to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting in his office regarding the preparations for August 14.
The meeting was attended by the additional deputy commissioner Karak, assistant commissioners, officials from the TMA, sports, education, and other relevant departments.
He assigned responsibilities to the relevant departments and instructed them to take a deep interest in their roles and responsibilities to make the August 14 celebrations memorable for the residents of Karak.
He added that solid measures would be taken to ensure the safety of participants and attendees during various activities such as flag-hoisting and other cultural programs.
