Arrangements reviewed for collective marriages of 98 couples under ‘Dhee Rani’ Programme in Attock

District


Attock:Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement Attock Anam Babar held a meeting in Attock to review arrangements for the collective marriages programme ‘Dhee Rani’, being organised across the province.



According to reporter correspondent, the Focal Person and Deputy Director Social Welfare Haseeb Khalid briefed the participants on arrangements for collective marriages, participation of deserving couples and other preparations under the ‘Dhee Rani’ programme.



He said around 98 deserving couples from across Attock district would participate in the collective marriage ceremony, while all necessary arrangements were being finalised in accordance with the Punjab government’s directions.



The meeting was informed that facilities for the deserving couples and their families, along with arrangements for the ceremony, security, transportation, food, medical assistance and other essential services would be ensured. All relevant departments would perform their responsibilities through close coordination and a coordinated strategy.



Officers of various departments also briefed the meeting about preparations in their respective areas and put forward suggestions for holding the programme in an organised and effective manner.



Addressing the meeting, Anam Babar directed the concerned officers to complete all arrangements for the collective marriage ceremony under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s ‘Dhee Rani’ programme well in time and ensure every possible facility for the deserving couples.



She said the ‘Dhee Rani’ programme was a welfare initiative of the Punjab government aimed at supporting daughters of deserving and low-income families through collective marriages and helping reduce the financial difficulties faced by such families.



She further directed the departments concerned to ensure the best possible arrangements for all participating couples and their families so that they would not face any inconvenience during the programme.
