Astore: Assistant Commissioner Astore Muhammad Shoaib met with Nauman Ahmed, Regional Coordinator of Alkhidmat Trust, to discuss the restoration of water purification plants in Astore district and measures to ensure the supply of clean and safe drinking water to the public.
During the meeting, they reviewed the current condition of water purification plants in the district and discussed possible steps to restore non-functional plants and make them operational again.
They stressed that access to clean drinking water is a basic need of the public. They also highlighted the importance of effective coordination and cooperation between government departments and welfare organizations to improve the supply of safe drinking water.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities of joint efforts to restore the water purification plants by using available resources. These efforts aim to make clean drinking water accessible to more people in the district.
Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Shoaib appreciated the welfare activities and public service efforts of Alkhidmat Trust. He said that welfare organizations play an important role in providing basic facilities to the public. He also assured the trust of full possible cooperation from the district administration in this regard.
The meeting was described as an important step towards improving the clean drinking water supply system in Astore, restoring non-functional water purification plants, and strengthening cooperation between the district administration and welfare organizations for public welfare.
