ATC rejects interim bail pleas of three PTI workers in Jinnah House attack case

Lahore

Lahore: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday dismissed the interim bail applications of three Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers in the May 9 Jinnah House attack case after they failed to appear before the court.

ATC Judge Manzrr Ali Gill heard the bail applications filed by PTI leader Awais Younis and workers Syeda Fatima and Hasnain Ali.

The prosecution informed the court that the three accused did not appear whereas they had also remained absent at the previous hearing. Their interim bail applications were subsequently dismissed due to their non-appearance.

Meanwhile, the court accepted a one-day exemption from personal appearance sought by Punjab Assembly member Ali Imtiaz Warraich and extended his interim bail until October 26.

The court also extended the interim bail of other accused in the case until October 26.

PTI workers Rukhsana Naveed, Kamran Saleem, Farhanur Rehman, Hassan Adnan, Malik Tariq, Taqi Raza Khan, Ammar Nadeem and Tauqeer have also filed interim bail applications in the case.
