Attock: Attock Police claimed to have solved a blind murder case registered at Rango Police Station and arrested the victim’s wife along with her alleged accomplice in connection with the killing.
According to an Attock Police spokesperson, on September 16, 2026, Rango Police received information through the Police Emergency Helpline 15 that Saleem Khan, a resident of Kamilpur Musa, had left his home to visit a well but did not return.
During a search, his body was found on an unpaved track. Police said the victim had allegedly been shot dead by an unidentified assailant.
A police team reached the scene, shifted the body to DHQ Hospital Attock for post-mortem examination and registered a case.
District Police Officer (DPO) Attock Capt. (R) Ali Bin Tariq took notice of the incident and constituted a special team to trace and arrest those involved.
Police said the investigation team, using modern technology, professional expertise and community policing, traced the case and arrested the victim’s wife, Saira Bano, and her alleged accomplice, Alamgir son of Sartaj, a resident of Daman, Tehsil Hazro, District Attock.
Further investigation of the arrested suspects is underway.
DPO Attock Capt. (R) Ali Bin Tariq appreciated the performance of the Rango Police team and said that those involved in serious crimes, regardless of how cleverly they attempted to conceal their actions, could not escape the grip of the law.
