PTI threat to Pakistan’s existence, economy; claims PML-N leader

Islamabad:: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leader Ikhtiar Wali Khan stated on Thursday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) threatened Pakistan's existence, ideology, and economy by working to destabilize the economy and attempting to push it towards potential default.

During a news conference, he stated that PTI is spreading extensive propaganda in the country, claiming its agenda is neither focused on Pakistan nor its security.

Ikhtiar Wali Khan stated that PTI opposes China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar and resents the nation's economic progress. PTI seeks the country's default, operates social media accounts from hostile nations, and spreads false propaganda against institutions. PTI has yet to establish itself as a political party. Now, the people of Pakistan must be mobilized against both patriots and traitors, as a small mistake could lead to significant damage, he expressed.

Ikhtiar Wali added that the country's economy was currently thriving, with investments coming from foreign nations like Saudi Arabia and the Unied Arab Emirates (UAE), but PTI is uncomfortable with this progress.

PTI demands the opposition leader be appointed chairman of the Public Accounts Committee in the National Assembly but refuses to implement this formula in their own province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These individuals, who have been caught embezzling over 2800 billion rupees, are now attempting to portray themselves as defenders, he said.

He said that hospitals and schools in KPK had been ruined, adding that in over three thousand schools, only one teacher was available to educate the children, who are forced to study on bare floors in poor conditions. The province faces a severe shortage of medicines, and residents are compelled to seek treatment from the federal government and Punjab, he added.

He stated that whenever PTI was in opposition, it invited external hostile forces and was willing to go to any lengths to achieve its personal goals. He said that after the PTI founder was removed from power through a no-confidence motion, his first statement was that Pakistan would be divided into three parts. He added that Pakistan's enemies would continue to suffer in the same way.

The PML-N leader further remarked that while the PTI founder once claimed his life was dedicated to Allah, it now appears it was dedicated to the empire.

Serena chowk interchange near completion

Islamabad:: Another public welfare project in Islamabad is nearing completion at an incredible pace. The work on Serena Chowk Interchange project which comprises of three underpasses is being carried out day and night.

Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the project site and directed its completion within the deadline.

Minister reviewed the beautification plan of Serena Chowk and accorded its approval. He highlighted that the underpass will be completed in the next 5 days but it will be opened for the traffic after the completion of work on sewer.

He directed to complete the work on sewer immediately. He said that the work on the project started with a delay of 10 days but it should be completed within the stipulated time by making all out efforts.

Interior Minister also inspected the ongoing construction work of the project, directing that all possible resources be utilized for the timely completion of the project.

Mohsin Naqvi directed that the surroundings of the project should be decorated with plants and flowers. He added that all possible efforts should be made to save the trees around the project.

On the occasion, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa gave a briefing about the construction activities of the project.

International Year of Quantum Science & Technology, 2025 observed at UoM

Dir lower: The Department of Physics and Center for Computational Materials Science, University of Malakand (UoM) organized a cake cutting ceremony, Quantum Walk; Every Step Counts for Promoting Quantum Science and Technology in Pakistan on Thursday.

At the event, a distinguished professor talk on road map for Promoting and Establishing Quantum Technology in Pakistan by Prof Dr Fida Younas Khattak to commemorate International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, 2025 (IYQST, 2025) at the University.

The VC UoM Prof Dr Rashid Ahmad, Prof Dr Iftikhar Ahmad, Chairman, Department of Physics and Director, Center for Computational Materials Science, UoM Prof Dr Jamil Ahmad, Dean of Computing and Engineering, Mr Hamayun Khan, Provincial Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faculty Members, Research Scholars and Students graced the event.

Prof Dr Iftikhar Ahmad and Prof Dr Fida Younas Khattak highlighted the significance of quantum science and technology to solve the real world problems. They emphasized to harness the power of quantum science and technology to develop new medicines, sustainable energy resources and ultra-fast computers to transform our lives.

The VC UoM Prof Dr Rashid Ahmad pledged to empower young minds with knowledge, skills and latest research in quantum science and technology to make a positive impact.

Mr Hamayun Khan pledged to extend full support to unlock the full potential of quantum science and technology and build a thriving future for the young generation. He also wished happy new year to all participants of the event and planted a sapling at university campus.

Muqam expresses solidarity with LG representatives after brutal police lathi charge, shelling


Peshawar: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs, Engr Amir Muqam here on Thursday expressed solidarity with the local government representatives of Khyber Pakthunkhwa after brutal lathi charge and shelling against them by police and demanded of the PTI Government to address their problems on priority basis.



The federal minister visited the camp of the protesting LG representatives here and expressed complete solidarity with them.



Addressing the LG representatives and later talking to media, Engr Amir Muqam said that brutal shelling and lathi charge against peaceful protestors were highly condemnable.



He said that PTI leadership on one side were talking about protest was their democratic right while the other side used police force against peaceful LG protestors.



He said the undemocratic attitude of the PTI leadership were stand exposed before the entire nation yesterday at Peshawar.



Engr Amir Muqam said that local government representatives were mandated for resolution of people problems at grassroot level and their demands should be addressed on priority basis by the KP Government.



He expressed the hope that PTI would also respect the mandate of other politcal parties and LG representatives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.



He assured to raise the issues of LG representatives on all appropriate forums. Earlier, Engr Amir Muqam was accorded warm welcome by the LG representatives and thanked him for the solidarity.
