Autism center to be set up at Hilal-e-Ahmar hospital

FAISALABAD:Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyer Sheikh has directed initiating measures for establishing a state-of-the-art autism center at the Hilal-e-Ahmar maternity hospital.

He sought a plan about different facilities including the availability of a therapist and other required sources for setting up the center. During his visit to the hospital here Tuesday, he said that setting up an autism center is imperative and a detailed report should be submitted to his office within three days.

He visited various sections of the hospital and took a briefing about its overall performance.

He also inquired after children at ICU wards.

Medical Superintendent Dr Hafiz Mukhtar Randhawa said the hospital comprising 300 beds was being run by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.
