Quetta: The Balochistan Transport Department, in its monthly reviewed the implementation of the AI Appointment Policy, the status of ongoing court cases, and the provincial action plan.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Secretary Transport, Hayat Kakar was attended by Additional Secretary Transport Qurban Ali Magsi, Managing Director Mass Transit Authority Abdul Khaliq Zehri, Secretary Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) Abdul Majeed Junejo, Deputy Director Balochistan Traffic Engineering Bureau (BTEB) Shakeel Ahmed, Director BPPPA Ihsanullah, and Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Quetta Niamatullah Tareen.
The meeting reviewed progress on departmental development projects, maintenance of the transport database, recruitment and promotions against vacant posts, assignment accounts, tendering processes, and project implementation.
Additionally, revenue collection progress for the fiscal year 2026-27 was assessed, comparing the set targets of PTA and RTA Quetta with actual performance.
Secretary Transport Hayat Kakar directed officials to ensure timely progress on all matters under discussion and instructed departments to keep the Transport Department updated with the latest developments in their respective areas. Other key issues related to the department were also deliberated, with officials presenting detailed briefings on their domains.
