KARACHI: Field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation and authorised branches of National Bank of Pakistan to observe extended banking hours till 10: 00 P.M. on Tuesday 31st May, 2022.
The measure has been taken to facilitate the collection of government receipts, duties and taxes, said a statement issued here by State Bank of Pakistan.
The central bank has advised National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (Pvt.) Limited (NIFT) to arrange a special clearing at 8: 00 P.M. on Tuesday for same day clearing of payment instruments.
All banks were also advised to keep their concerned branches open on 31st May, 2022 till such time that is necessary to facilitate the special clearing for government transactions by the NIFT, it added.
