Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan, all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Friday August 14, 2026 to mark the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan.
‘The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Friday, August 14, 2026 being public holiday on the occasion of ‘Independence Day’, as declared by the Government of Pakistan’, the central bank announced in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
Subsequently, all banks, Micro Finance Banks and Development Finance Institutions will also remain closed on Friday on the account of the Independence Day of Pakistan.
