Chiniot: An awareness seminar was organized by the Revenue Department in a private hall regarding the distribution of joint accounts.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Safiullah Gondal attended the seminar as the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Rana Muhammad Omar, Assistant Commissioners of the three tehsils, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Gurdawars and Patwaris from across the district participated.

Trainers from Lahore gave lectures to Patwaris, Gurdawars and revenue officers on the distribution of joint accounts. On this occasion, DC Safiullah Gondal, while addressing the participants of the seminar, said that the distribution of joint accounts will eliminate property boundaries and ownership disputes and reduce civil cases.

The formation of winda will facilitate the distribution of personal property, protect the rights of women and facilitate the purchase and sale of land. The distribution of joint accounts will end disputes, and the landowners will be allotted their land numbers. He further said that The distribution of joint accounts will save resources and time as well as money.

The concerned Patwaris and revenue officers will also get incentives when the village target is completed. Finally, the DC distributed stationery boxes among the Patwaris of the villages.

Dera ismail khan: The district police have busted a gang involved in the theft of transformers arresting its four members here in the limits of Paharpur police station.

Addressing a press conference, SP Paharpur Gohar Ali Khan informed that the gang had been active in various transformer theft cases.

Following the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada, a special team waa formed under the leadership of ASP Paharpur Ali Hamza.

The team, in a successful operation, worked diligently and traced the gang arresting its four members.

During the operation, the police recovered three stolen bodies of transformers, 14 coils, one petrol pipe, electricity wires, and a Datsun truck used in the thefts, along with other stolen items.

The SP Paharpur said that the further investigation from the arrested accused was underway.

Hyderabad: The Sindh department of sports and youth affairs had launched the three-day 'Sindhu Darya Games 2025' at Al-Manzar, Jamshoro, along the banks of the Indus River. The event was inaugurated by provincial minister sports and youth affairs Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar highlighted that the primary objective of the event was to provide high-quality sports activities to the youth of the district. The games feature 12 different competitions, including boat racing, Malakhra (traditional wrestling), volleyball, kabaddi, tug-of-war, soccer, horse riding and throwball. The competitions would continue for the next three days, with over 400 male and female athletes from across the district participating.

The sports minister further remarked that the Sindh government aimed at showcasing the beauty of Jamshoro and Sindh through this event, and promote sports culture among the youth. He announced plans to organize an even bigger event next year in Jamshoro and expand similar sports initiatives to other districts of Sindh, recognizing sports as a vital tool for mental and physical development.

Following his speech, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar officially launched the three-day games, witnessing traditional horse racing and boat racing competitions.

Addressing the gathering, secretary sports Abdul Aleem Lashari presented the welcome address and outlined the event's objectives. He also commended District Sports Officer Jamshoro Kosar Tahseen Channa for organizing a successful sports event.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary Sports Abdul Aleem Lashari, Divisional Commissioner Bilal Ahmed Memon, Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, DG Agriculture Munir Jamani and other distinguished guests.

Rawalpindi: Major General Ibrahim Hilmy, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Maldives Armed Forces, called on General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at the General Headquarters.

Chiniot: Deputy Commissioner Safiullah Gondal took action to improve the cleanliness situation and eliminate encroachments, conducted a walking tour of the streets of Union Council 35.

The Deputy Commissioner checked Hakeem Colony, Shahnawaz Colony, Thathi Mochiyan and Rewa Road and other areas, COMC Muzaffar Baig, Manager Waste Management Company Burhan, Monitoring Officer, Encroachment Officer, Area Incharge and others were also present.

Deputy Commissioner reviewed the cleanliness situation and encroachment operation, 4 shops were sealed and 2 shopkeepers were arrested on Rewa Road for continuous violations, on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Safiullah

Gondal said that the situation has improved since yesterday, there is scope for further improvement, I am inspecting myself on a daily basis, he further said that a place has been allocated for carts, they are taking possession of the violations, the shops of regular shopkeepers who do not remove the encroachments are being sealed for a month, no one will be allowed to violate.

Rawalpindi: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) had initiated cleaning and renovation work of parks in Rawalpindi in the wake of incoming spring season.

The beautification work undertaken on the instructions of PHA Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, was continuing on fast-track basis in all the parks of the garrison city, a PHA spokesman said on Friday.

He said the PHA was taking steps to provide all basic amenities in the city's small and large parks, besides planting flowers, repairing walking tracks and cleaning.

The spokesman said as per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Authority was making all out efforts for the provision of the best recreational facilities to the citizens of Rawalpindi.
