Sargodha: Saddar police conducted a successful raid in it's jurisdiction and arrested eight gamblers red-handed while participating in illegal betting activities.

During the operation, the police team seized three mobile phones, two motorcycles, Rs15,000 in cash and gambling stuff.

A case was registered against the accused and legal action launched.

Multan: West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales showcased a stellar performance on the opening day of the first Test against Pakistan, claiming three critical wickets and keeping the hosts on the back foot.

'It may reverse swing at some point, but I still think the spinners will dominate moving forward.'

He said that bowling in Asian conditions, typically known for favoring spinners, presents a unique challenge for pacers. He said that as a fast bowler in these conditions, you always want to make a big impact and he wanted to be in the game and get key wickets. He attributed his success to maintaining pressure and capitalizing on the new ball, which swung early due to the cold conditions in Multan. Despite dismissing star players like Babar Azam and Shan Masood, Seales denied feeling any pressure. 'In international cricket, you expect the players to be good, so you have to back yourself and match up skill for skill,' he said.

Discussing the pitch, he revealed insights from the training sessions. 'The ball did a little bit when it was new, so it was about putting the ball in the right areas adding that cold conditions this afternoon worked in their favour,' he noted.

Sargodha: Sargodha district police arrested 15 alleged criminals and recovered narcotics from their possession.

Police said here on Friday that the teams of different police stations raided various localities under their respective jurisdictions and arrested Nadeem, Naeem, Naseer, Nouman, Naveed, Nasrullah, Muhammad Ashfaq, Muhammad Aslam,Tariq,Waqas,Waleed and others,besides recovering 2-kg hashish, 2-kg opium, 231 litres of liquor, nine pistols, nine guns, and 203 bullets.

Mirpur (ajk): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Minister for Small Industries, Mrs. Taqdees Gilani has said that the broad-based strategy had been devised by the state government to encourage the involvement of women in trade and industrial activities in AJK where conducive environment was already available with due assistance by the concerned state functionaries.

"The government is determined to make women role model in entrepreneur sector in the region", the minister disclosed while addressing a capacity building workshop hosted in the State metropolis by AJK Small Industries Department in collaboration with SMEDA, Government of Pakistan.

The one-day training workshop was primarily aimed to promote women's involvement businesses in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, attended by large number of women women nominated by the Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Azad Jammu Kashmir.

The minister emphasized upon State Bank and all financial institutions to run special advertising campaigns to benefit women from the business loan scheme so that women could be made aware and the entire process could be made extremely easy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Additional Chief Secretary, Ms. Midhat Shahzad, expressed happiness that the women of Azad Kashmir were coming forward as businesswomen and today a considerable number of women had participated in the training workshop and proved that they were not relying on government jobs but were utilizing their capabilities in the private sector.

Secretary of Commerce and Industry AJK government Khalid Mahmood Mirza, thanked SMEDA and State Bank of Pakistan officials for providing detailed training to women on business registration and other issues, which would definitely benefit women in Azad Kashmir.

The AJK government is making every effort to promote small and medium industries in Azad Kashmir, and with the participation of women, it will play a significant role in the development of society.

Peshawar: Provincial Minister for Education, Faisal Khan on Friday emphasized the availability of top-notch sports facilities across educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Talking to a delegations from GIZ and ADIDAS here, he stated that boys and girls were being provided equal opportunities to excel in sports, leading many athletes to represent at national and international levels with the Education Department's full support.

The minister highlighted that primary schools had dedicated play areas, while high and higher secondary schools were equipped with grounds.

He further mentioned that annual local, national, and international sports tournaments were organized at district and provincial levels, with plans to enhance these arrangements next year through support from donors, NGOs, and the KP Sports Department.
