NAROWAL:District Officer (DO) Industries Zeeshan Niaz has said that on the special orders of Chief Secretary Punjab the checking process regarding adulteration, hoarding and overcharging is going on in Narowal district.
Deputy Commissioner Narowal is reviewing the day-to-day operations of the magistrates regarding price checking.
He said in this regard 3,705 inspections were conducted by the Price Control Magistrates during the last three weeks under the ongoing campaign throughout the district.
He said that during the campaign, 418 shopkeepers were found guilty of violations and were fined Rs. 1,644,000. During the campaign, 13 cases were registered and 38 people were arrested and 2 shops were sealed.
