Chiniot DPO holds open court to address public grievances

Chiniot: District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Naveed Atif on Friday held an open court at the City Police Station to hear public grievances and provide citizens with prompt access to police services in line with the Punjab government’s policy of resolving issues at their doorstep.



The open court was attended by DSP Bhawana Circle, SHO City Police Station Chiniot Sub-Inspector Imran Khan, Complaint Cell In-charge ASI Sajjad Khalid and other police officers. On this occasion, the DPO listened to citizens’ complaints and issued on-the-spot directions to the relevant officers for their resolution.



Dr Naveed Atif also directed the concerned officials to ensure timely redressal of the grievances and submit follow-up reports on the action taken. He said the purpose of holding open courts was to strengthen public confidence in the police and improve coordination between law enforcement agencies and citizens.



The DPO said a series of open courts would continue across the district to address public complaints at their doorstep. He added that Circle DSPs and SHOs were also conducting open courts in different areas and urged citizens to approach his office directly regarding police-related issues without hesitation or any recommendation.
