LAHORE:CIA police arrested 69 accused involved in murder, blind murder, abduct for ransom and dacoity incidents and recovered property worth Rs 106 million from their possession during one month.
DIG Investigation Lahore Athar Ismael said this while addressing the press conference here on Friday.
Giving details, DIG said that CIA police had smashed a dacoit gang and arrested its four members- Ali Raza, Intazar, Usman and Noman. The police also recovered property worth Rs 32.7 million from them.
He said that the police also arrested eight accused including three bank employees involved in bank dacoity in Defence and recovered Rs 28.5 million, gold ornaments, costly watches and other valuables. The accused entered houses and made hostage the inmates at gun point and looted credit cards and bank information and fled away.
The DIG said that CIA Model Town also arrested thirteen accused involved in house robbery, dacoity and other and recovered gold ornaments and foreign currency worth Rs 32 million from them.
