Monday presided over a meeting regarding the prevention of electricity theft and recovery of arrears in the commissioner’s conference hall.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner -1 Dr. Ali Nawaz Bhrt, Additional Commissioner II Sono Khan Chandio, Deputy Commissioner Mirpurkhas Dr. Rasheed Masood Khan, Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Abdul Halim Jagirani SSP Mirpurkhas Adil Memon, SSP Umerkot Abdul Khaliq, SSP Tharparkar Ali Mardan Khoso Superintendent Engineer HESCO Manzoor Ali Magsi, SDO, Director Information Mirpurkhas Ghulam Raza Khoso and other officers participated.
It was decided in the meeting that according to HESCO powers, the campaign to prevent electricity theft and collection of arrears will be continued Similarly district enforcement committees will also be constituted in all districts to prevent electricity theft and carry out campaigns to recover arrears and solve the problems faced by
peoples.
Divisional Commissioner directed HESCO officers to conduct a publicity campaign for the better interest of the people for the prevention of electricity theft and recovery of arrears and directed that action be taken against whoever is involved in electricity theft also said that daily and weekly reports should be sent to the Commissioner’s office in Mirpurkhas.
On this occasion, Superintendent Engineer HESCO Mirpurkhas Region Manzoor Ali Magsi said that during the operation carried out in connection with the prevention of electricity theft and recovery of arrears from September 7 to September 9, a total of 54 FIR applications were sent in Mirpurkhas region, in which 30 were filed in Mirpurkhas. , including 19 in Digri and 5 in Umerkot, out of which 26 FIRs were registered against people involved in electricity theft, in which 10 FIRs were registered in Mirpurkhas, 11 in Digri and 5 in Umerkot, while 28 FIRs are being in still remaining for processing.
