Bahawalpur:Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia and Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hasan Raza visited Bahawalpur Industrial Estate to review ongoing development projects aimed at promoting industrial growth, attracting investment and expanding business activities under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Additional Commissioner Coordination Naeem Sadiq Cheema, Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Dr Ayesha Khan, Director Bahawalpur Industrial Zone Umar Farooq, Director Development Malik Mehboob Elahi Khar, Industrial Zone Officer Samiullah Khan and members of the Chamber of Commerce were also present on the occasion.
Director Bahawalpur Industrial Zone Umar Farooq briefed the commissioner on progress made on development projects, ongoing construction work and other related matters. Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed the concerned officers to complete all development projects at the earliest and within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring strict compliance with approved designs and prescribed technical standards. He emphasized that projects aimed at improving basic infrastructure in the industrial estate should be completed on a priority basis to create a conducive environment for industrial activities and provide better facilities to investors.
The commissioner urged office-bearers of the Chamber of Commerce and the business community to come forward and invest in Bahawalpur Industrial Estate, playing their role in making the industrial zone fully functional. He assured industrialists and investors that the divisional and district administrations would extend all possible cooperation to promote industrial development, attract investment and expand business opportunities in Bahawalpur. He said increased industrial activity would help generate employment opportunities and strengthen the regional economy.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Hasan Raza said transparency, construction quality and adherence to prescribed timelines were fundamental to the successful completion of development projects. He directed the concerned officers to take effective measures to ensure the provision of quality infrastructure and timely completion of ongoing works in the industrial estate.
Later, Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia and Deputy Commissioner Syed Hasan Raza also planted a sapling at the Bahawalpur Industrial Estate.
