Quetta: Focal Person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP)’s Chaudhry Naeem Karim on Friday said that the country requires political stability and economic progress rather than chaos and confrontation.
In his statement issued here, a senior central leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Naeem Karim said that politics that disrupts daily life through protests and sit-ins would not resolve public issues; instead, it exacerbates tension in the political climate.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the federal government is taking every possible measure to steer the country back onto the path of progress and prosperity, yet certain elements do not wish to see the nation advance.
Mr. Karim said that the PML-N federal government, led by the Prime Minister, believed in taking all political and religious parties along for the sake of national development and prosperity; the government has repeatedly invited all political parties to sit together and find solutions to the issues at hand.
He remarked that Pakistan could not currently afford any political confrontation, yet some political parties are bent on harming the country and its democracy.
He added that the public expects political parties to take practical steps toward resolving issues, creating employment opportunities, improving facilities, and fostering national development, success in politics should be measured by public service and tangible performance rather than by rallies, sit-ins, or high-sounding slogans, political parties ought to present their performance records to the public instead of trading accusations.
He reiterated that the country needs political stability and economic growth, not chaos and confrontation saying that the PTI and other opposition parties should immediately call off their sit-ins and long marches and join hands with the government to steer the country out of the quagmire of problems.
