LAHORE:The Lahore Police intensified its crackdown against individuals involved in the sale of Sheesha (hukkah) and Gutka. This year, 796 suspects involved in the sale of Gutka had been arrested, and 787 cases have been registered. Meanwhile, 125 suspects were arrested and 59 cases were registered during operations targeting the trade of Sheesha flavors. CCPO Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana, has ordered the continuation of indiscriminate action against those involved in the sale of Sheesha and Gutka, directing relevant officers to ensure strict legal proceedings are taken against individuals engaged in these illegal businesses. The CCPO has also directed that a close watch be kept on the sale of Gutka and Sheesha in the vicinity of educational institutions and hostels, with the aim of protecting the younger generation from these harmful substances.
