FAISALABAD:Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyer Sheikh has ordered a crackdown against hoarders and profiteers in the district.
Presiding over a meeting of price control magistrates here on Friday, he directed strict implementation of prices of essential items including fruits, vegetables, and chicken according to government prices lists.
He directed the magistrates to realize their responsibilities and ensure relief to consumers in markets and bazaars.
He also directed for regular monitoring of performance of the magistrates. He directed the Civil Defense as well as Monitoring and Evaluations wing to submit a report about prices of edible items to review the performance of price control magistrates.
