MUZAFFARGARH: Additional Sessions Judge has sentenced the killer of former Muzaffargarh City Nazim Mian Muhammad Hussain Muna Sheikh to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10 lakh, on Wednesday.
According to details, court found the accused who was an employee of the late Nazim, guilty of murdering Muna Sheikh.
The employee had killed the Nazim and wrapped the body in sheets and blankets before fleeing the scene.
The Civil Lines Police later arrested the employee, Bakal who confessed to the murder.
Muna Sheikh had gained national and international attention in 2018 when he declared assets worth trillions of rupees in his nomination papers.
He had also contested elections for the National and Provincial Assemblies several times. His late father, Sheikh Fazl Hussain had also been an MPA from Muzaffargarh.
