Chiniot: Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Thursday directed all government departments to ensure 100 percent implementation of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the Punjab government and intensify field monitoring to ensure the timely resolution of public issues. She issued the directions while chairing an important meeting attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General/MD Suthra Punjab Wasiq Abbas Haral, Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement Abid Shabbir, Assistant Commissioners and heads and representatives of Local Government, Revenue, Health, Education, Municipal Committees, District Council, Highways, Buildings, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, Transport Authority and other line departments.

The meeting reviewed the performance of various departments, ongoing field activities, provision of public facilities and progress on the implementation of government-set KPIs. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that officers and field staff should not remain confined to their offices but must ensure their active presence in the field. She directed all departments to strengthen their monitoring mechanisms, ensure 100 percent staff attendance and regularly submit geo-tagged photographs of field activities for effective monitoring of development and administrative initiatives.

DC Ayesha Rizwan also ordered the departments concerned to further strengthen the price control mechanism, improve sanitation arrangements and ensure the immediate covering of open and hazardous manholes. She directed the authorities to improve conditions at government and educational institutions, restore and clearly mark zebra crossings, and ensure that water filtration plants remain fully functional and are cleaned regularly.

Stressing that the provision of basic facilities to citizens was the administration’s foremost responsibility, she directed all departments to work in close coordination and take immediate practical measures to address public complaints without waiting for further instructions. She asked Assistant Commissioners, officers of Local Government, Revenue, Health and Education departments, Chief Officers of Municipal Committees, District Council and officials of other relevant departments to conduct daily field monitoring, warning that negligence or laxity in the performance of official duties would not be tolerated. She urged all officers to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and commitment and ensure effective implementation of the Punjab government’s public welfare agenda.
