Dera ismail khan: A delegation of the Mehsud Press Club, led by President Sheryar Mehsud, called on Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Upper Irfan Ali Khan at his office and discussed the role of media in highlighting public issues and strengthening government-public liaison.
The meeting focused on promoting journalism in the district, identifying issues faced by local communities and improving coordination between the media and district administration.
He appreciated the contribution of journalists in bringing public grievances to the attention of the authorities and said the media played an important role in ensuring that people’s voices were heard.
He assured the delegation that the district administration would maintain close coordination with the media and extend cooperation in efforts aimed at resolving public problems, promoting transparency and improving the delivery of government services.
The two sides also discussed the overall situation in Upper South Waziristan and other matters of mutual interests.
