DC Tank reviews education facilities, directs action against absent staff

Tank: Deputy Commissioner Tank Jamshed Khan chaired a meeting of the District Steering Committee on Education to review the performance of government schools and address issues affecting the quality of education.



The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Naimatullah Kundi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning and District Monitoring Officer Muhammad Riaz Khan, education department officials and other relevant authorities.



The District Monitoring Officer presented a report on the performance and monitoring of government schools over the past months, highlighting available facilities and challenges faced by educational institutions.



Reviewing the report, the deputy commissioner directed the authorities to take immediate action against absent staff and employees posted at places other than their designated stations.



He also called for priority measures to address issues relating to school boundary walls, dilapidated buildings, drainage, electricity, washrooms and other basic facilities.



Jamshed Khan emphasized that ensuring essential facilities, improving teachers’ attendance and raising the standard of education remained key priorities of the district administration, adding that action should be taken against absent staff.
