Lahore: It has been decided to strictly implement ‘Silence/No Horn Zones’ in Lahore.
According to the issued letter, the ban on honking in hospitals, educational institutions, court complexes and residential areas will be made more effective.
No horn zones will be re-identified to reduce environmental pollution and noise. In addition, TEPA has been recommended to install standard ‘No Horn Zone’ signboards across the city.
It has been decided to intensify effective measures against noise pollution to protect the health of citizens.
Following a complaint received on the Prime Minister’s portal, instructions have been given to tighten the action against the no-horn zones. CTO Lahore Abdul Rahim Shirazi asked the Deputy Commissioner for a fresh list of no-horn zones.
