Sialkot: A student of the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS), secured third position in a national Seerah essay competition, a university spokesperson said on Monday.
Dr. Fakhira Tahseen, PhD scholar in Islamic Studies at the institute, won third position in the competition titled ‘Protecting, Building and Shaping the Character of the Younger Generation in the Light of the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).’
Director of the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies Dr. Syeda Saadia and faculty members expressed their appreciation for her achievement.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shazia Bashir congratulated Dr. Fakhira Tahseen on the academic and research distinction and lauded the institute’s director and faculty for their guidance and supervision.
