Faisalabad: Experienced livestock officer Dr Sajid Iqbal has formally assumed additional charge as Director Livestock Faisalabad division after retirement of previous livestock director Dr Haider Ali Khan.
A spokesman of Livestock department said that Dr Sajid Iqbal, who is serving as Director Livestock Sargodha Division, has now been entrusted with additional responsibility of Faisalabad division. His appointment is expected to strengthen supervision of departmental affairs, field operations and veterinary services across the division.
An experienced and dynamic officer, Dr Sajid Iqbal has performed various administrative and field responsibilities in the Livestock Department, with particular emphasis on effective implementation of departmental activities and service delivery at the field level.
Soon after assuming the additional charge, the Director Livestock issued directions to officers and field staff to ensure timely and regular uploading of data regarding departmental activities and services being provided to livestock farmers. He directed the officials to avoid any negligence or delay in updating the relevant information.
He stressed that the satisfaction of livestock farmers and other stakeholders must remain a top priority of the department, directing officials to ensure timely, effective and quality veterinary services for livestock owners and farmers.
Dr Sajid Iqbal also expressed his resolve to utilize all available resources and professional capabilities to improve livestock services in Faisalabad division, strengthen the field veterinary network, facilitate livestock farmers through timely and effective services, and ensure efficient implementation of the policies and programs of the Livestock Department.
The officer’s additional charge is expected to provide stronger coordination between administrative and field-level operations while improving monitoring of veterinary service delivery and departmental activities across the division, spokesman added.
