LAHORE:Provincial Caretaker Minister of Mines and Minerals Ibrahim Hassan Murad has said that all government departments are moving towards paperless working so that the journey of development can be set quickly by benefiting from modern e-technology.
The minister expressed these views while presiding over a departmental meeting in his camp office on Monday. The meeting was attended by DG Mines and Minerals, PITB management and other concerned persons.
In the meeting, a detailed review of the future e-auction process in the Department of Mines and Minerals was taken.
The minister was told that all the auctions will be digitized through e-auction while hundred percent transparency is being ensured. Further briefing informed that E-auction will play an excellent role in mining and minerals bidding as the bidder will participate in the auction without appearing in public. A time of auction is fixed, it cannot be postponed.
He said, “We all should understand the importance of e-bidding,” and emphasized bringi
ng same system in other departments along with Mines and Minerals Department. He said that the e-auction system will also be introduced soon in the Transport and Livestock departments.
