ISLAMABAD:Pakistan electricity generation went up by 9 percent during January as compared to last year.
According to NEPRA data released on Saturday, the generation stood at 8,797 Gwh during the said period, with record 9 percent increase.
Healthy economic activities and industrial support package remained major drivers behind growth in power demand. Similarly, during the month of January, the electricity generating cost remained at Rs 12.2/unit, it further said.
