Multan:Over two dozens of employees of the Violence Against Women Centre (VAWC) demanded the government to release salaries of three months. The employees were carrying banners and placards inscribed with their demand for early issuance of salaries in a protest. They demanded the government to ensure timely issuance of their salaries to run their kitchens.
According to official sources, 28 employees, who had been working on contract basis since inception of the department, have been facing the issue for last three months. The violence against women centre was established to stop violence against women across the region. Under one roof, it offers all sort of facilitation to aggrieved women.
